I'm sure many of you have watched the news coverage on TV about the terrible disaster in Haiti. I have a friend here in PA who has been in the process of adopting two orphans from that country. Needless, to say they have been on an emotional rollercoaster for the last few days. Those poor children have had to sleep outside due to the fact that their orphanage is structurally unsound. We have been praying that the Lord will work through this and speed up the adoption process for them. Meanwhile, I can't help but be aware of the Lord's blessings for me and my family. He has given us a sweet home. It isn't huge, but it protects us from rain, snow, wind, and cold. It gives us a safe place to sleep, eat, and play. It holds many precious memories from the last year and a half. I am ashamed to say that I all too often take it (and many other blessings) for granted. Thank you, Lord for providing our family daily shelter and protection in our wonderful home!
