Friday Feedback....

This week I have been participating in fun challenge started by Sarah Mae. She called it the Get Dressed Challenge....

The object was to get up and dressed (make-up and hair included) by 8:00. We were then supposed to take a picture of ourselves each day. Here's how my week went:

Monday ~ Up bright and early (even though it was our day off)

Tuesday ~ I had time to pick out a coordinating bracelet! =)

Wednesday ~ The challenge was to get ourselves dressed (not necessarily our children)!

Thursday ~ Quick picture outside in the gorgeous weather!

Friday ~ I needed my COFFEE after staying up too late on Thursday night! =)

It's amazing how simply making it a point to prepare myself physically for the day impacted the things I did for the next 14 hours! I felt more ready to face the tasks of the day head on! I think Adam appreciated it too! =)

In light of the challenge from this week, here is the Friday Feedback question:

In what ways do you streamline your morning routine in order to be ready for the day just a little bit faster? (ex. make-up tips, organization, etc.)

I hope you all have a great Friday, and I look forward to hearing from you!

You look very "pulled together" in each picture. Glad you had such a great week. P.S. My children weren't dressed by 8:00; many of them were still in bed. :)

You look gorgeous! Very classy and cute. I agree that getting dressed in the morning and feeling put together really does make an impact on how the rest of the day goes!
Blessings to you!!

Good for you getting ready and dressed every morning like that! I don't do that everyday, and can definitely see how it affects my energy level and desire to get things done if I am up and dressed early. Its getting harder for me, though with 3 kids now - I always try to talk myself into that "extra" 5 mins of sleep!
As for "streamlining" my mornings - I am still working on that myself! The hardest morning is Sunday mornings. Since my husband is the pastor, we want to be the first ones to church, which is usually 30 mins (at least) before others start arriving! I try to have all the clothes picked out, ironed, and ready to go Saturday night. Breakfast I try to have something simple - or even something I can make up the night before that just has to be warmed up. But even so, I still feel like a chicken with my head cut off, running all around gathering the kids, shoes, etc. And when we come home from church, it looks like a tornado came through our house!

I really try to take my shower at night, so that I'm not taking more prep time in the morning, and .... my hair actually looks better when I sleep on it. :)

Growing up, my mom was always ready before she walked out of her bedroom door in the morning. I just thought that was the way it was supposed to be done! Now that I have kids, I understand the importance of getting myself ready before anyone else gets up!

Another key to a good morning around here is taking care of the kitchen before I go to bed. There is nothing worse than starting the day with a dirty kitchen! I try to have everything clean and maybe even glasses and coffee cups out on the island for drinks and coffee in the morning. Even that little step helps!

What a great idea! I am not always that put together by 9.

This is such a great idea!! I think 8am might be a little too early for me because I work out in the mornings. Maybe I can aim for 9 - 9:30! :) I'll have to think it through... but I like the challenge!
