I Love You, Lord....

The past couple of days, the familiar chorus, "I Love You, Lord" has been swirling around in my mind. God demonstrates His love in a myriad of ways every day in our lives, and it's so important for us to stop and express our love back to Him! Singing is just one of the ways we show our gratefulness to a God who is so good to us. Take some time today to sing this song (or any other song that is on your heart) in praise and worship to our Lord!

I love you, Lord

And I lift my voice

To worship You

Oh, my soul rejoice!

Take joy my King

In what You hear

Let it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear!

I love that song and the reminder that my singing is pleasing to His ear (while it may not be pleasing to others)! That sounds like a joke, but I seriously think about that. :)

Music is such a great way to meditate on truths about God. I've been enjoying "He is With You" this week.

I have been feeling the same way about the song "Hosanna!"

This takes me back to my childhood so much. I would sing this song all the time at church.
So simple and powerful.
Thank you for reminding me of it--I will be singing it all day tomorrow!
Thank you my friend!

God has such a wonderful way of talking to us by bringing to mind songs that are old favorites as well and the newer praises. Sometimes a refrain will stick in my brain for daaaays, then I'll remind myself. "He's talking to YOU, babe!" What a wonderful feeling.

Oh, I just love this song, too! I catch myself with this song in my heart sooo often!!! Love the beautiful clouds above all the lush greenness!

Great song, great memories with it. Wish I could get that kind of song to roll around in my head instead of "backpack, backpack!" or "the wheels on the bus..."
Sigh. :)

I love that song and am often tempted to sing it in a prayer meeting. We do not have singing in our prayer meeting at Church any more and I miss it. I think there were a few too many who felt they were non singers......also I was absent for a time so there was no lead singer. Another one of the guys who also filled that role is filling an interim position in another Church.....but a lovely song of praise. You have reminded me to put music on.
