Resting....

In the last 6 months of my blogging adventure, I have noticed a pattern. Some weeks I feel as if I have tons to write about, plenty of pictures to upload, and many spiritual applications to share.
Then there are weeks in which I feel the complete opposite, and I struggle to come up with my seven posts for the week.

Thankfully, I have also figured out the solution to that problem........

I need to take a blogging rest. I need to try a new recipe. I need to cuddle with my little guy. I need to do something special for my sweet husband. I need to call a friend. I need to spend some extra time with my Lord. (I may even need some coffee and some dark chocolate!)

I need to live my life so I can blog about it later!

Have a blessed Thursday, and I'll chat with you tomorrow with our weekly Friday Feedback post! See you then!

It is so funny that you wrote this because I've seriously considered taking a week-long break. I even have a title for the post I would write before I do it.

I need to live life, not blog about it!

I just started reading your blog and love it! Why is it as woman we often feel guilty for taking a break? I've been taking part in this 40 day challenge called iChoose2 and yesterdays challenge was iChoose2 to be in THIS moment!
It talked about how we can have our life so planned out that we miss the moments. So rest an enjoy the moment. Check out the iChoose2 challenge at http://tinyurl.com/29jgdqj. iChoose2 is a FREE 40-day challenge dedicated to empowering women to really live a life they love!

Very wise words. I get like that too, and then blogging feels like work instead of fun. Instead of sitting at the computer banging my head on the desk, I need to follow your lead and live my life. Have a wonderful break!

That's exactly why I don't blog every day~~ found myself spending too much time at the computer and trying to force myself into figuring out what to write. Since writing is a heartfelt passion for me, I had to really take a prayerful look at WHY I was wanting to post so much, and the answer for me was the validation I was getting from others. SO, I now only write when I know God is prompting me to, and making sure I am living for enjoying my life with my sweet family before I serve or disciple others.

Have a beautiful day~
