Sight & Sound....

This past Saturday, my hubby and I were able to go with a group from our church to Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA. It's a Christian theatre that puts on amazing performances with drama, music, special effects, and even live animals. Many in our group had been there several times to see various performances such as Noah, In the Beginning, The Christmas Story, and Behold the Lamb. We were able to see Joseph, and it was excellent! While pictures weren't allowed in the actual performance, I was able to snap a few outside and in the lobby!

I was amazed at all the huge tour buses full of visitors! The place was packed!

The facilities are beautiful!

The closest I was able to get of a picture of Joseph! =)

I loved this statue out in front of the theatre!

Me and my handsome man!

If you ever visit the Lancaster area, I would definitely recommend visiting one of their awesome shows! Did you have a good weekend???

My word for their productions is "spectacle". The sets, costumes, and special effects are just amazing...over the top! While they take some liberties with the dramatizations, they do a good job of communicating scriptural truths. "Joseph" was very moving. They did an excellent job of showing Joseph's inner struggle with anger, hurt, fear and desire for revenge when his brothers came to him in Egypt. The reunion of the family brought tears to my eyes and just made my heart soar with the realization of God's goodness.

Oh, I would love to visit this place. My daughter was actively involved in theatre in high school and would really enjoy it. I will have to take a trip to Lancaster for sure!
